2-sided roll cages are widely used throughout retail and logistics operations. However, the exposed leading edges of their wheel base plates can cause potentially hazardous impacts with the operator's feet and ankles.
There are generally two solutions to mitigate this risk that we see in businesses:
Push Cages - this is only possible by reducing cage loads by up to 30% to keep sight lines above cage stock clear
Policies & Training - developing & enforcing SOPs is a start, but is still a long way from any physical risk controls

EdgeGuard is a custom-designed safety accessory for compatible 2-sided roll cages. It clips onto the cage's base plate, covering the exposed leading edge and creating a protective barrier between the metal edge and the operator.
There are no alterations required to your current cage fleet, and EdgeGuard is designed to accommodate several different cages on the market, with more in development.

Hi, I'm Connor! I developed EdgeGuard after experiencing the health-and-safety issues with roll cages first-hand. The driving philosophy behind the design:
Equipment should work with people, not against them.
My background in engineering, logistics and project management gave me the tools to take my drive for change and turn it into a solution that fulfills this philosophy.
